Lone Star Rattlesnake Days – Round Rock, Texas
Join us at the Lone Star Rattlesnake Days at the Dell Diamond Heritage Center in Round Rock, Texas, March 11-12. This two-day educational wildlife festival will feature live animal displays, speakers, toys, books, and snake handling equipment. Come watch Jim Harrison of the Kentucky Reptile Zoo extract venom from Mojave and Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes!. Various Texas Zoos and local Herpetological Societies will be providing educational activities for the entire family in a safe, environmentally friendly atmosphere. this is a “no kill” event which celebrates the magnificence of rattlesnakes and provides a sustainable alternative to the declining practice of the traditional rattlesnake roundup.
This event is hosted by the Rattlesnake Preservation Trust, a 501(c)3 non-profit group whose mission is to share factual information and scientific data about rattlesnakes to promote conservation and respect for wildlife. Be sure to mark you your calendars! You don’t want to miss it!
